I have worked as a Sports Marketing Intern at Long Beach State Athletics for the last two years. This year I work in a new position as a Social Media intern where I run and create content for all affiliated LBSU social media accounts. I work closely with many of our 19 teams that play in the NCAA Division 1 level such as the men’s and women’s volleyball, basketball and waterpolo teams, as well as the baseball and softball teams. I design gameday graphics, handle in-game promotions, create content for our social media accounts, brainstorm ideas for new events and activities, and work with guests and staff to ensure all games are well ran and properly executed. In these positions I have learned a lot of valuable skills about communication, timeliness, digital design etc., that have all prepared me for a future in Sports Media.
